This Boy is something SWEET, I'm telling you and just when I think I can't fall harder for him, I DO! Here he is of playing in the snow while all of the girls are Ice skating.
I wanted to post about him for two reasons.
1) All my kids keep asking me what they said or did that was funny, I wish I had better records.
2) I feel Easton coming in to "his own" whatever that really is supposed to mean, but I'm pretty sure he is doing right now, and I really like who is!
3) He said something funny I don't want to forget when he asks me about himself when he was 7.
A few months ago I got Darin French Women Don't Get Fat. He's got a long commute and sometimes I can sneak books in that I want to read and he can read them and report. This was one of those. One of the nuggets he gleaned from the book was that the French SAVOR their food. Well, we LOVE food at our house and love that most of our kids appreciate good food as well. We have try to teach them to savor and enjoy the flavors of the food, savor and enjoy the whole experience. Company included. So for example for FRIDAY FUN, we may get a small container of Haagen Dazs rather than a large container of Breyers. We tell the kids to SAVOR.
Easton came in the laundry room while I was doing laundry. I tried to sabbotage his attempts to put the socks in the basket, because it was mid-morning. He declared, "mom, I have really been savoring these socks for 3 days, I think it's time to change them. I laughed, wanted to remember this moment, and permission granted!

So cute! Don't you love it when they savor things? Maybe not their socks,:) but obviously he is savoring life!
Gotta love the things kids say. It is also a great reminder that they are listening. That is a great memory to write down.
How funny! My brothers tell about me not wanting to take my socks off for a couple days while my parents were gone on vacation! That'll be a funny story for him to hear! :) What a cute kid.
Hey Lori, I just wnated to say thanks for your words on my blog. I keep wanting to call you again to get to the bottom of some questions, but I'm trying to gather as much info. as I can first so I can be a little more educated. I can't tell you thank you enough for calling. It helps so much to know other people with similar issues that they've dealt with..I just wish there was some sort of parent's organization for a support group. Anyway, thanks again for your encouraging words...and it's been fun to catch up with your family life on the blog..
I'm with you and that one boy...there's just something about them!
Love, Shawni
Where are you Lori? I haven't "seen" you around for a while! I hope everything is okay. Have a great day!
